Ford Taurus

The Ford Taurus in Durham is a classic beauty both on the outside as well as the inside. This large sedan packs in more features than the previous years. It’s reasonably priced and comes with more than what other big and pricier sedans similar to it offer.

The Ford Taurus is available in the SE, SEL, Limited, and SHO models. While most of the features are standard in the Limited and SHO models, they are available for the SE and SEL models.

Standard features in Limited and SHO models:

·      Heated and cooled front seats

·      Heated outboard rear seats

·      Heated steering wheel

·      All-Wheel-Drive sensors

·      Lane keeping assist

·      Cross traffic alert

·      Forward collision warning with brake support

·      Adaptive cruise control

A comparison of Taurus SE, Taurus Limited, and Taurus SHO.

The SE model comes with a modest AM/FM stereo with a single CD player and clock and MP3 capability. The Limited and SHO models boast of a sophisticated Sony audio system, Satellite radio from Sirius XM, and HD Radio.

Ford’s CoPilot 360 Technology in the SE includes a rearview camera, curve control AdvanceTrack with Electronic stability control, and SOS post-crash alert system.

Auto high beam headlamps, reverse-sensing symptoms, reverse sensing system, rain-sensing wipers, rearview camera, curve control with electronic stability control, SOS post-crash alert system, and lane-keeping system are all standard in the Limited and SHO. These trims are otherwise available and for a little bit more, can be had for the basic SE model.

Front wheel drive is standard in the SE and Limited models, while the SHO sports the AWD.

Both the SE and Limited models come with the standard 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 Engine, and the SHO gets the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Engine. Engine block heater is an available option for all models. All three models come with the 6-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission sport mode with shifter button activation.

All the models come with Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system.

All in all, we love the look and feel of the Taurus. It’s sporty and it’s vibrant and oozing charm and class of the most superior kind. So, there you have it, the new Ford Taurus in Durham – we love it.
